NEXT WAVE SURF DOGS

Bradley Shortboard Cooper

Rescued from the streets of Riverside, Bradley found his forever home — and his calling — with a little help from a big brother. Carson Surf Dog, one of SoCal's most decorated surf pups, took Bradley under his wing (or paw) and showed him the ropes, starting him out in still water before easing him into real waves. It worked: at the 2026 World Dog Surfing Championship, Bradley took 1st place in the small dog category, proving that great surfing really can run in the (adopted) family. Under two years old and already a champion, Bradley's just getting started.

"Bradley showed up on my doorstep looking like he'd never seen a wave in his life — which, to be fair, he hadn't. Kid couldn't tell the difference between a leash and a collar. Now he's out there winning World Championships and I'm the one who has to remind people I taught him everything he knows. You're welcome, Bradley. Also, you still owe me a squeaky toy for that."
